Featured Photo
Sunday, August 23, 2009- A strong monsoon surge enhanced by an upper level low moving over SoCal triggered severe thunderstorms across the Mojave Desert between Barstow and the California/Nevada border and south along the Colorado River to Blythe. This photo was taken along I-40 as the storm was moving northeast near Amboy. It produced 2" hail and flash flooding in that area.
