Mojave Desert Outbreak - Phelan/Barstow - September 16, 2008

A late summer monsoon surge triggered widespread thunderstorms in the Mojave Desert of Southrn California. The El Mirage Convergence Zone between Phelan and Barstow once again was the most favorable zone triggering scattered thunderstorms including a severe cell over Barstow and Daggett.
