Lightning

Lightning is my favorite weather phenomenon. I am always awestruck by its beauty and power. My very first lightning photo was taken back in 1983 in Azusa. I will never forget that day. My first attempt and it came out perfect! I used a tripod mounted fully manual Pentax MX 35mm SLR camera with ISO 200 film, set at f-11, shutter at bulb, and held open until the bolt struck, about 30 seconds. I actually got 3 shots altogether, but the best one is displayed here. All in all these photos represent a general display of my early 35mm collection, and other more recent examples are displayed throughout the gallery. Enjoy.
