August 30 - September 3, 2007
A strong influx of monsoon moisture throughout southwest California triggered widespread thunderstorm
activity across the southern Inland Empire as well as all mountain zones and the Mojave Desert from Joshua Tree NP and westward during this five day period.
The strong easterly flow allowed moisture to react with the Elsinore Convergence Zone, and surface temperatures reaching 110°F in most areas allowed
trigger temps to be attained that supported extreme convective parameters along the ECZ.
